Seaflowers: Building a premium brand with national profile
Seaflowers is my own business – and the clearest proof point of how Seaflowers Studio works. From brand positioning through to PR, guest experience and direct bookings, this case study shows what’s possible when story, strategy and execution are fully aligned.
The challenge
Seaflowers was an established, family-run B&B, purpose-built by my parents through the renovation of my grandparents’ bungalow. When I took over the business, the challenge was to redefine what Seaflowers was – and who it was for. Guests needed to understand that Seaflowers was no longer a traditional B&B, but a holiday home and retreat venue, built around connection and considered luxury.
My challenge was to:
Reposition an established property with clarity and credibility
Build a distinctive premium brand with emotional connection that felt sustainable, values-led and authentic
Achieve national visibility without a marketing budget
Balance driving guest bookings with long-term brand value
Drive demand beyond peak season
Reduce reliance on Online Travel Agents (OTAs)
The strategy
Seaflowers was designed as an ecosystem, not just a holiday let. There are three interconnected pillars:
Seaflowers accommodation – group and room-only bookings
Retreats at Seaflowers – curated experiences rooted in connection
Seaflowers Studio – brand, PR and growth consultancy
This structure allowed the brand to grow with clarity and resilience, while building multiple revenue streams under a single, coherent identity. From there, the strategy was simple and long-term: Build something people feel connected to. I did this via:
Clear positioning – coastal calm, thoughtful luxury, connection
Founder-led storytelling – authentically and vulnerably sharing my own story
Earned media first – credibility before amplification
Experience-led marketing – guests as advocates
Direct booking focus – control, margin and longevity
