Find Your Story.

Most founders have a great story. Very few know how to tell it.

Tuesday 22 September 2026

Find Your Story is a one-day workshop for small business owners, hosted at Seaflowers in South Devon. In a group of no more than eight, you’ll get clear on what your unique story is, learn how to tell it with confidence, leave with professional headshots that reflect who you are, and feel empowered with the tools to turn it all into clients, customers and growth.

Who this is for

This workshop is designed for sole traders and small business owners who are values-led, willing to share their personal story and open to collaborative, community-based ways of working. If you feel isolated running your business, in need of creative inspiration and are looking for structure, connection and clarity, then this day is for you.

How your story drives growth

The founders who are known are the ones whose businesses grow. It’s that simple.

When you can tell your story clearly and confidently, you stop competing on price and start attracting the clients and customers who already want what you offer. You spend less time explaining yourself and more time doing the work you love. PR becomes possible. Referrals become natural. Your brand starts working for you.

Seaflowers is living proof of this. Since Suzy began telling the story of Seaflowers with intention: its history, its setting, her values and personal journey, and the experience it offers, she earned features in The Telegraph, The Times, Devon Life and numerous other publications (take a read here), attracted guests from across the UK and beyond, and built a direct booking model that doesn't rely on discounting or third-party platforms. A strong story, told well with great imagery did this - not advertising spend.

That is what Find Your Story is built to do for your business.

What you leave with

Meet your hosts

Suzy Greenwood

Founder of Seaflowers and Seaflowers Studio. Eighteen years in brand and communications, now helping small business owners find and tell their story, creating lasting connection and sustainable growth.

Sue Porter

Brand photographer with twenty years of experience in founder and lifestyle photography. Sue has a rare talent of capturing who you are, not just what you look like: images that work as hard as your words do.

Suzy and Sue were friends at school, lost touch and were thrown back together by the universe in 2022. Since then they've reaffirmed a deep friendship through a shared love of hiking, sea swimming and van adventures. Sue is the only photographer Suzy trusts with Seaflowers and her own personal brand photography, and Suzy has helped Sue articulate and share her own brand story. Together they are the living proof that a powerful story and great photography can help any brand grow.

The location

Find Your Story is hosted at Seaflowers, Suzy’s luxury waterfront venue in South Devon. It’s the kind of place that makes people slow down, think clearly and talk honestly: exactly the right conditions for a day like this.

The workshop takes place in the dining and living rooms, with views over Frogmore Creek. Lunch is served either in the dining room or on the terrace if the weather allows. The headshot sessions may be indoors or outside, making the most of the light and the setting.

If you're travelling from further afield, rooms are available to stay over. Think quiet Devon luxury: time to soak in the hot tub the night before and arrive at the workshop fully relaxed. Then, after the day, enjoy the privacy of a desk with a view and let your thoughts settle properly - or enjoy a glass of wine on the terrace, the choice is entirely yours.
